Culinary nutrition students cook in Providence campus kitchen

Nutrition and Food Go Hand in Hand

Food has the power to do more than satisfy hunger—it can support athletic performance, reduce disease risk and improve overall well-being. In JWU’s Culinary Nutrition Bachelor of Science program, you’ll explore the connection between food, health and performance while developing the culinary skills to put nutrition into practice.

Start by building a strong culinary foundation through either the Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry Arts track, where you’ll master essential techniques, leadership and kitchen operations. Then, dive into specialized coursework in areas like applied culinary nutrition, food science and sports nutrition, preparing you to meet the growing demand for nutritious, chef-driven cuisine in restaurants, healthcare, wellness and athletic settings. Complete your experience with an advanced internship or study abroad opportunity that gives you real-world, career-focused experience.
