Our Campuses

Providence, Rhode Island

Since Johnson & Wales University’s founding, our flagship Providence Campus in Rhode Island has helped rejuvenate the state’s business hub, created jobs, added to the city’s revenues and enriched the local culture — making a big difference in the smallest state.

JWU Providence is composed of two campuses, which together cover more than 170 acres and 52 buildings. The Downcity Campus provides an enclave in the heart of the city where students enjoy college life yet are steps from art, history, culture, food and a riverwalk. A few miles south, the Harborside Campus, which houses JWU’s culinary hub and athletics fields, includes walking trails alongside Narragansett Bay for a scenic break from city life. Both campuses are connected by Wildcat Wheels, a continuous bus route, and both offer health & counseling services, student housing, academic support, athletics and clubs & organizations.

Charlotte, North Carolina

Since opening in 2004, JWU’s close-knit campus in Charlotte, North Carolina has helped transform the Third Ward of Uptown Charlotte into a thriving food and play destination. You’ll be just minutes from professional sports arenas as well as music venues, art and history museums, beautiful parks and incredible food. On campus, you always have access to JWU Charlotte’s health & counseling services, student housing, academic support, athletics and clubs & organizations, with most classrooms and services conveniently grouped between the Academic Center and Gateway Village.

Shop in Charlotte’s unique neighborhoods or hop on a CityLYNX streetcar to travel through Uptown. Don’t miss the Market at 7th Street, North Carolina’s first food hall, which since 2011 has served as an incubator for small food-related business owners (including many JWU alums!).

JWU Online

professionals to pursue higher education and further their skills from anywhere in the country — or the world.

Just like our in-person programs, students get personalized support at each step — from submitting your application through graduation. You’ll be paired with an academic advisor who will work with you on course registration, degree progression, accessing study resources and more.

The best part? You’ll also get the hands-on edcuation JWU is known for, which includes opportunities to complete an internship in-person or virually. Choose from an associate degree, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, doctoral program, certificate or micro-certificate.
