PROVIDENCE, R.I. — March 23, 2021 – Johnson & Wales University (JWU) has announced its intention to return to full operations in the fall, inviting all students back to campus, with courses being offered in-person as well as through hybrid delivery.

The summer session will continue to be fully remote, giving students the option to pick up extra courses and accelerate their graduation date; registration is open now. For the fall semester, select study abroad opportunities will be available for eligible students, who will need to be vaccinated to participate. All of the planning for the summer and fall is dependent on the guidance, restrictions, and health protocols that may be put in place by federal, state, and local governments.

“As the COVID vaccine becomes more available, state governments are beginning to relax some restrictions that have been imposed to protect public health,” said JWU Providence Campus President Marie Bernardo-Sousa LP.D. “We look forward to our Downcity and Harborside campuses being energized with students as we again offer the traditional college experience inside and outside of the classroom. While we must remain vigilant, there is light at the end of this long tunnel, and we are getting there.”
