Biography and Expertise

I am a dynamic and high-performing nursing professional with a unique background as a nurse educator, clinical nurse, compliance auditor, case manager, and clinical manager; My professional experiences are in acute care, home health, acute rehabilitation, behavioral health and long-term care settings. As a nursing educator since 2016, I have taught with Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree nursing programs in the clinical and didactic settings. I obtained the credential of the Certified Academic Clinical Nurse Educator (CNEcl) in 2020, a certification offered by the National Leage for Nursing (NLN). I am a member of the North Carolina Nurses Association (NCNA) and the American Nurses’ Association. I am also a member to the international honor society for nursing, Sigma Theta Tau and also a recently inducted member of the international honor society for educators, Kappa Delta Pi. I have recently earned the certificate of completion for the 2023-2024 inaugural faculty fellowship for Universal Design for Learning (UDL) at Johnson & Wales University, hosted by Goodwin University.
