Biography and Expertise

I was born and raised in Concord, Massachusetts and wanted to be a teacher from my earliest recollection. When I was about 7 years old, my mother found a grade book and discarded textbooks at the town dump. She brought them home, and I was on my way to being a teacher. I received my BA in English in 1997, my MA in English in 1999, my PhD in English and history in 2003, and my MFA in Creative Writing in 2023. I currently live on Cape Cod where the wind and waves are my muses.
