Biography and Expertise

Born and raised in Southern California, Chelli attended the University of California at Los Angeles. As a military spouse and mother of four, she decided to attend graduate school in 2009. She graduated from North Carolina State University with her Master’s in Sociology in 2011 and her Ph.D. in 2019. She collected data in the Republic of Korea for four years. In her spare time, she likes to explore the world, having made it to all fifty states and five continents. She has found her home in New England.
