Biography and Expertise

I am a psychology educator with more than 25 years of teaching and leadership experience. I’ve been the Lead Psychology Instructor at a community college in North Carlina since 1999, where I teach courses like General, Interpersonal, and Developmental Psychology, mentor students, and support a team of faculty. I’ve also developed and taught online courses for several community colleges in Mississippi and Louisiana. In addition to teaching, I’ve worked with numerous textbook publishers to edit and provide feedback on psychology textbooks, which has allowed me to help shape resources used by students nationwide.
I hold both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Psychology from Mississippi State University, with a focus on Social and Industrial Psychology. Teaching has always been my passion, and I love helping students discover how psychology connects to their everyday lives and future goals.
