Biography and Expertise

Prior to coming to Johnson & Wales University, I accrued 14 years’ experience across a wide spectrum of positions in a global financial institution as a dual employee of the corporation Vice President and Officer, and as an NASD Licensed Financial Advisor. Areas of expertise include:

I currently serve as an associate professor in the Department of Accountancy & Finance at JWU Providence’s College of Business. I am passionate about helping Finance students prepare for their future career goals. I incorporate project-based learning that uses real time data, case studies and practical application exercises to provide hands-on experience, both inside and outside the classroom. I connect with industry regularly to keep course content relevant. Every class includes weekly discussion on current events so students stay abreast of industry trends and engage as they would in future jobs.
I regularly attend The Chronicle of Higher Education webinars to ensure my pedagogy continuously improves to address current students learning styles and best practices for student engagement. In addition to my teaching role, I also serve as the faculty advisor for the Finance and Investment Academy (FIA)
