Biography and Expertise

My expertise centers on entrepreneurship and its societal impact, focusing on how innovative thinking can solve problems in our communities. I earned my Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) in Entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2021. My doctoral research, which was recognized with a Spotlight Dissertation award, specifically explored the factors that drive new business creation (entrepreneurship formalization), investigating how social support systems influence the launch of new ventures. This focus on empowering founders continues in my research today, which includes investigating the effect of financial literacy on the success of college students from all backgrounds. I also hold an M.B.A. from High Point University.
