Biography and Expertise

Dr. James Glenn grew up in the Washington DC metropolitan area and attended American University in Washington D.C. upon graduation from high school where he earned a BSBA in finance.

Upon graduation from American University he spent over 20 years in the brokerage as a Series 7 licensed investment advisor, and in the banking business as a commercial lender and underwriter.

He has worked since 2003 in academia, both as a full time business chair and professor, and dissertation mentor, and as an adjunct, teaching and mentoring students at the doctoral, MBA, and undergraduate levels. Dr. Glenn is a highly qualified educator with 20 years of teaching experience in finance, economics, investments, statistics, financial and managerial accounting, strategic management, marketing, leadership, supply chain management, operations management, qualitative and quantitative methods and research at the doctoral and MBA level.

Dr. Glenn also works as a business dissertation committee member for Florida Institute of Technology (2012-present), full time business chair, dissertation mentor and associate professor for Argosy University (2006-2015), senior contributing faculty and university reviewer (URR) and dissertation mentor for Walden University (2014-present), senior methodologist and chair and committee member for Grand Canyon University (2020-present), business PhD dissertation chair and mentor for Capella University (2021-present), dissertation mentor for Marymount University (2022-present).

In addition, Dr. Glenn is considered a subject matter expert in corporate finance, international finance, healthcare finance, research, statistics, managerial and financial accounting, ERP, mergers and acquisitions, accounting, strategic management, operations management, project management, leadership, supply chain management, real estate and business valuation.

His education includes a Doctorate in Finance, from Nova Southeastern University, Davie Florida, an MBA in finance from Palm Beach Atlantic University, in West Palm Beach, Florida, and a B.S.B.A. in finance from American University, Washington, D.C.

Dr. Glenn has been writing on financial, economic, and political matters for over twenty years, and has a keen interest in promoting a more socially just, and economically fair society.

In his spare time he enjoys cooking, entertaining, traveling, music of all kinds, history, scuba diving and reading.

He currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and two cats.
