Biography and Expertise
Fernanda Tate-Owens received her master’s degree in English from Iowa State University. Her area of concentration was business and technical communication. She taught several business writing courses at Guilford Technical Community College, Jones College of Business and Brookstone College. Tate-Owens served as the Writing Center director and taught numerous composition and academic enhancement courses at her alma mater, Johnson C. Smith University. When she is not in the classroom, she is involved in the community as life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.
