Biography and Expertise
After graduating with a Bachelor’s in English, I joined Teach for America and for five years taught in the high-need city of Camden, NJ. There I learned about the challenges that our schools face but also saw the potential for education to be the key component of change. After relocating to Rhode Island, I campaigned successfully to be on the Pawtucket School Committee. Our family believes strongly in the promise of public schools and our two children attend the Pawtucket Schools. I began working at JWU when our youngest started school and enjoy bringing my passion for education and writing to the students in my classroom.
