Biography and Expertise

Cynthia Mullins is a business leader with experience in legal, contracts, human capital, and higher education. She is CEO & Founder of Baldwin Rise, a firm dedicated to holistic and human centered learning and development. Cynthia designs and delivers leadership development, human resources, business law, attorney ethics, and compliance programs and webinars nationwide.

Cynthia currently serves as Associate Director – Contracting Services at Princeton University. She is accountable for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating procurement and academic department contracts. Previously she worked as international legal counsel and chief human resource officer at a global professional services firm for three decades. Cynthia has been teaching as an adjunct instructor since 2002 in accelerated MBA graduate programs, and American Bar Association approved paralegal programs. She is a public arbitrator for the Financial Regulatory Industry Authority (FINRA); and also, a member of the Connecticut Bar Association.

Cynthia is a former trustee for the National Urban League, and currently a board director for Martha’s Vineyard Adult & Community Education as well as mentor and scholarship review member for the Jackie Robinson Foundation. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Cynthia earned scholar practitioner qualification from AACSB. She holds the following credentials: J.D. from University of Connecticut School of Law; M.S. in business ethics and compliance from Cambridge College; B.A. in political science from University of Connecticut; SHRM-CP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management; human resource management certificate from Duke University; internal coach certificate from Teachers College-Columbia University; and certificate in negotiation mastery from Harvard Business School Online.
