Biography and Expertise
Charles DeSassure is a leading figure in cybersecurity education and implementation. He was instrumental in the creation of the Tarrant County College Cybersecurity Program in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition, he aided Rose State College in Midwest City in becoming the first community college in Oklahoma to offer a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity. He also assisted Johnson & Wales University in the development of a new three-year computer science bachelor’s degree program.
He is an accomplished educational administrator and currently serves as the Dean of Instruction at Lamar Institute of Technology in Beaumont, Texas. He is responsible for managing educational direction, collaborating with enrollment services and workforce staff, and overseeing department chairs and faculty. He is dedicated to increasing student enrollment and improving student success. He has been teaching at Johnson & Wales University since 2018.
