Biography and Expertise
Caitlin Lofton, Ed.D., is an Associate Professor and Clinical Coordinator for the Nursing Program at Johnson & Wales University, Charlotte. Lofton has a B.S.N. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a M.S. degree in Nursing Education from Duke University. Lofton completed her educational journey at Bryan College of Health Sciences in Lincoln, NE; first obtaining a Graduate Certificate in Simulation Education and then earning her Education Doctorate with emphasis in Nursing Education. Lofton’s clinical background is in emergency medicine, where she has served in various roles from staff nurse to clinical supervisor. Lofton also holds her certification in Emergency Nursing and is a Certified Nurse Educator. Lofton lives in the Charlotte area and enjoys traveling in and out of the country. Lofton’s love of travel and nursing has led her to participate and lead several medical mission trips to Peru. Lofton also enjoys baking, reading, hiking, and riding her e-bike.
