Break down silos. Question existing structures. Change the mission from the inside out. Through JWU’s MBA with an Organizational Leadership concentration, you’ll obtain the skills to become an emotionally intelligent (EQ) leader adept at uniting employees around a shared sense of purpose.
Gain a thorough understanding of how to integrate performance-enhancing theory and models into real-world business situations. You will also explore the latest research related to employee wellness, organizational health, and positive leadership practices.
Developed in collaboration with leading companies, our professionally-focused curriculum includes self-assessments and opportunities to apply concepts and tools to practical business situations. Through action learning, you can change, seek feedback, observe and evaluate outcomes, and continually improve practices and processes. Applied academic assignments allow you to gain leadership experiences that develop individuals, teams, and organizations — what employers value the most.

The Benefits of Organizational Leadership
Modern management theorist Peter Drucker observed that “Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things.” This distinction highlights the value of an MBA in Organizational Leadership, which extends beyond traditional business functions to emphasize the human, ethical and strategic dimensions of leading organizations.
JWU’s program focuses on aligning soft skills, like effective communication, with strategic planning skills that take into account an organization’s mission, values and objectives.
Upon completion of this program, graduates are expected to:
- Gather, interpret and analyze research to inform decision-making at operational and strategic levels of an organization.
