Security is important to our communities.

Our campuses at Johnson & Wales have personnel on duty throughout the night and day, as well as an integrated access control system of ID card readers, surveillance cameras and emergency blue light phones for enhanced security.

Help Keep Campus Safe: Make a Report

We all have a role to play when it comes to keeping our campus and community safe — help us stay secure by reporting crimes or suspicious activity you witness and designating a confidential emergency contact if you need one.

See Something, Say Something

If you notice anything suspicious, like an unattended backpack or someone breaking into a restricted area, immediately let law enforcement know. Your action could prevent crime and save lives.

Silent Witness Report

You can anonymously report a non-emergency crime or questionable incident using this form. (For emergencies and potentially dangerous situations in progress, call 911.)

Send Us Feedback

If you have any question or concerns regarding the professionalism and conduct of our staff, please let us know. You can call or visit, or use this anonymous form, to help us maintain the highest standards of service.

Confidential Contact

If you wish, you can designate someone in addition to your regular emergency contact for Campus Safety & Security to reach out to in the event that you go missing and your primary contacts don’t know your location. This person’s identity will be kept confidential and won’t be shared with your family or friends.

Emergency Preparedness

Learn what to do in an emergency, how to update your emergency notification contact, and where to find new, relevant alerts about cancellations, delays, emergencies, crime, inclement weather and more, should an incident (natural or man-made) occur on or near campus.

Update Emergency Contact Info

Update your emergency contact information any time your contact details change, to ensure you will still receive emergency alerts to your phone.

What to do in an Emergency

It’s always good to be prepared. Learn what to do if you’re on campus during a severe weather evacuation, shelter-in-place scenario, or other emergency event.

About Campus Alerts

Our communication service allows campus leaders and security personnel to deliver time-sensitive voice mail and text message notifications during unforeseen events or emergencies.

CARE Team

If you’re concerned about a student, notify the CARE (Crisis Aversion and Response Evaluation) Team. They meet weekly about students who might pose a risk of harm to self or others, and they develop strategies for early intervention. They will review your report and identify the best way help them.
