Exploring Graduate Courses
If you’ve enrolled as a JWU undergraduate and are figuring out your future, you can explore by taking graduate-level courses for credit!
You can take up to four graduate courses (maximum 12 credits, limited to 6 credits per semester or 3 credits per session), earning graduate credit and grade points before you even complete your bachelor’s degree.
To consider this option, meet with your academic advisor to discuss your interests, qualifications and plans.
Undergraduate students wishing to take graduate-level (excludes PA, Ed.D., DBA and M.Ed.) courses must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
- Completed & registered at least 90 undergraduate credits
- Meet the individual course prerequisites
Note: Completion of graduate-level courses does not guarantee acceptance into graduate programming. Matriculating undergraduate student applicants must fulfill all requirements for entrance into the intended graduate program.
Combined Degree Programs
You know what you want to do. JWU’s combined degree programs can help you get there faster.
If you’re laser-focused on the life you want and it calls for one or more advanced degrees, you can save up to a full year of time and tuition through JWU’s Combined Degrees. These structured programs provide a continuous plan of study so you can progress towards your goals.

We work closely with other colleges to help ensure a smooth transition between academic programs, condensing your academic journey so that your credits count toward both your last year of your undergrad program and your first year of graduate school.
